Military graveside services will be at services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday (August 16, 2008) at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Stickney. ...He was born on April 16 1913 at Stickney to Benjamin and Sophie Tschirley Matzner. ...in education from the University of South Dakota Vermillion in 1940. He served in the U.S. Army from 1942 until 1945. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church or to the Gerhard and Lois Matzner Global Church Leaders Scholarship Fund.
