Gerhard Matzner 95 Savoy Ill. died July 17 2008. Funeral services were held on July 26 2008 at Immanuel Lutheran Church Charleston Ill. Military graveside services will be at services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday (August 16, 2008) at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Stickney. ...He was born on April 16 1913 at Stickney to Benjamin and Sophie Tschirley Matzner. ...in education from the University of South Dakota Vermillion in 1940. He served in the U.S. Army from 1942 until 1945. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church or to the Gerhard and Lois Matzner Global Church Leaders Scholarship Fund.

Claudine (Tschirley) Athman - 80th Birthday

Aunt Claudine celebrated her 80th birthday on August 4, 2008. Those who are members of GENI or who keep track of those things already know that.

Claudine is the youngest of the William Tschirley siblings and the 7th in the family to reach that significant milestone, the others: Helma, Nelda, Norman, Mag, Margaret & Fred.
